We have been busy this last few weeks getting a guest room in the basement set up. Finally after weeks of building dust and hard work the room was ready on Friday. We moved the bed down on Saturday and set the room up nicely before going to Liseberg, the amusement park. We had been there a few hours when our neighbor called and said the basement was flooded. Oh joy! So now we have been dealing with the mess from this sh*t. Had to rip up the new floor and buy a new one. 2 humidifiers are going on high to dry it out. Tomorrow or Wednesday a guy from the insurance company is coming to have a look at the damages.
So where did the water come from? Well, there was a down pour from hell when we were away and it was very local because we only had a little bit of rain in town, and the storm water drain could not cope and it came up through the shower.
