We have been busy this last few weeks getting a guest room in the basement set up. Finally after weeks of building dust and hard work the room was ready on Friday. We moved the bed down on Saturday and set the room up nicely before going to Liseberg, the amusement park. We had been there a few hours when our neighbor called and said the basement was flooded. Oh joy! So now we have been dealing with the mess from this sh*t. Had to rip up the new floor and buy a new one. 2 humidifiers are going on high to dry it out. Tomorrow or Wednesday a guy from the insurance company is coming to have a look at the damages.
So where did the water come from? Well, there was a down pour from hell when we were away and it was very local because we only had a little bit of rain in town, and the storm water drain could not cope and it came up through the shower. So computer which was on the floor is not to happy at the moment. Please use our work emails if you want to get in touch with us.

Day at the beach

Took the kids to Skåne and to my home "town". Went to the beach where I spent every summer while growing up. It was the first time on a sandy beach for Leila and I think it might have been the last....it was sand EVERYWHERE by the time we were heading home. But the kids loved it!

Edwins new room

Beach activities and more

Woke up to sunshine and only one place to go when the weather gods are on our side. The beach! So we packed up the car and took off from our island to another. Spent most of the day there before going to Klåva harbour on yet another island. Big sale in all the shops and bought some clothes for the kids and new shoes to myself.
On home to unpack and start preparing dinner, but we got lured over to the neighbor for some bubbles :) So dinner was liquid this evening (I take no responsibility for any spelling mistakes).

Now finally the curtains for Edwins room are finished. And hopefully we can paint the room tomorrow and then furnish it with his things, so it's not a guest room anymore.

It is still hotter than h*ll in our house (27 degrees and it is 22 o'clock) so Edwin the lucky-son-of-a-gun is sleeping in the basement. Nice and cool down there.

Sorry no photos from todays activities, this time we bought the camera with us, next step is to actually use it.

Leila took her first 3 steps. A bit woobly so it will be some time before she is walking properly. But wow - our little girl is growing up so quickly.
